Steps to Start Serving at Houston Northwest:
1. Fill Out the Interest Form
Let us know where you’d like to serve and share a bit about yourself.
2. Attend the Serve Orientation
Choose a team, learn what’s expected, tour the campus, and shadow a team to see if it’s the right fit for you.
3. Join a team
After the orientation, you’ll be able to join the team you selected and start serving.
Find a Group

Kids
Class Teachers: Lead age-appropriate, creative, and engaging Bible lessons, guiding children in their spiritual growth each Sabbath.
Post-Class Care Team: Care for children after their classes, keeping them safe and engaged until their parents pick them up.
Adventurers: Support spiritual, recreational, and educational activities for kids ages 4 to 9, fostering values and friendships.

Worship & Production
Worship: Join the band or vocal team to lead the congregation in moments of worship with passion and excellence.
Production: Operate cameras, sound, screens, and lighting to ensure a seamless technical and visual experience.
Photography & Social Media: Capture key moments and create visual content to share the church’s life on social platforms.

Youth
Warehouse: Help organize and support our youth services, creating an authentic and welcoming environment for teenagers.
Pathfinders: Mentor teens through spiritual and practical activities like camping, honors, and community service.
A Destiempo: Participate in intimate, spontaneous gatherings where young people reflect, share, and grow in faith.

English Ministry – Solid Rock
Welcome Team: Greet attendees of the English service with warmth, connecting with people from all backgrounds.
Worship: Serve as part of the worship band or vocals during the English service, leading authentic praise moments.
Production: Manage sound, cameras, and visuals for the English service, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience.
Photography & Social Media: Capture and share the highlights of the English ministry to build community online.

Serve Experience
Welcome Team: Greet everyone with a smile and a kind word, making every person feel at home from the moment they arrive.
Parking Team: Assist with traffic flow and parking, ensuring safety and order as attendees arrive.
Next Steps: Guide new visitors on how to get involved, grow spiritually, and become part of the church community.
Prayer Team: Pray with and for people during or after the service, offering support, direction, and spiritual encouragement.
Translation: Provide live interpretation from Spanish to English (or vice versa) so everyone can fully understand and participate.

Local Impact
Food Bank: Assist with collecting, preparing, and distributing food to families in the community who are facing hardship.
